Interview of Viktoriia Perlikas from Ukraine after the Training Course "NEET to work" in Yerevan
Nowadays, the issue of unemployment of young people is relevant, in my country as well. It is important to understand the reasons why young people are in NEET and to identify possible solutions to this issue. It is worth appreciating that such reputable organizations as Erasmus+ and Capernicus Berlin do not ignore the existing problem and have initiated the project "NEET to work", which took place on 9 September- 17 September, 2021 in Yerevan, Armenia.
In my opinion, it is very important that this project gathered people who work with youngsters, thus we got the possibility to take into consideration the real state of the NEET issue in our countries, and think of possible ways of solving the problem.
The good news is that the project participants take the acquired baggage of knowledge and skills and the most important thing is to apply them in practice. We are ready to cooperate with NGOs and stakeholders, help the youth of our countries and prevent the NEET issue. For me personally, it was very helpful to learn some new kinds of energisers, to consider the NEET issue from all sides, and come to a common understanding of the reasons and ways to overcome possible NEET effects. We did so many tasks, like reflection, self- understanding, SWOT analysis, making up our own CVs and video CVs. Also we considered the EU programs, the Grow model for mentoring NEET and I hope so much to implement every activity given by our trainers in my country and disseminate the special tools among my colleagues. Happy to have the chance to be a part of such a practically useful project!))) And I feel thankful to hospitable Armenia!
